Magnoni to make sporadic appearance in 2011
In 2010 he scored a second place at Monza and a third at Misano, earning third overall in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup behind Badovini and Berger, but this season Michele Magnoni's options will not be able to take part in the series full-time after signing up for the Italian Championship with the Baru Racing Team.
The 22-year-old Italian will have the bike that dominated the international scene however, a BMW S1000RR, and will be aiming for the title, but he will find time to take part as a wild-card rider in the three Italian rounds...at least for the moment.
"We tried to finalize the budget to take part in Superbike but without any luck," declared Magnoni. "After my third place overall in the FIM Cup last year I will try and win the Italian title and do the best I can in the three International rounds I'll be taking part in. The BMW is the most competitive bike out there and I can't wait to step up and race it".
