An agreement has been signed between Martini Corse and the Italian company Pata that will see the Pata by Martini team take part in the 2012 Supersport World Championship. After its title win in CIV Italian Superstock 600, the team headed by Claudio Quintarelli has now reached a partnership agreement with Pata, which becomes title sponsor from the opening World Supersport round at Phillip Island, Australia.

The Pata by Martini team will take part in World Supersport with CIV champion Dino Lombardi, who also won the European Superstock 600 round at Brno, while the reconfirmed Francesco Cocco and new signing Luca Salvadori will take part in Superstock 600, both Italian and European.

"Pata's entry as title sponsor of our team is great satisfaction for us, both on a human and professional level," commented Quintarelli. "I am delighted that a brand such as Pata, which is already involved in World Supersbike, has decided to consolidate its partnership with our team. With this level of support, we can expect to be protagonists in 2012."

The Pata by Martini team has already taken part in several test sessions in view of the 2012 world championship, the latest of which was a couple of weeks ago at Vallelunga.
