WSB riders get their hands on radio-controlled cars!

brno_riders_ambience_newsThe weekend programme for the eighth round of the Superbike World Championship at the Czech Republic circuit of Brno got underway today with a traditional media event and press conference, this time held in the packed Olympia Shopping Centre a short distance from the circuit.

Max Biaggi (Aprilia Alitalia Racing Team), Carlos Checa (Althea Racing Ducati), Marco Melandri (Yamaha World Superbike Team), Chris Vermeulen (Kawasaki Racing Team), Michel Fabrizio (Suzuki Alstare), James Toseland (BMW Motorrad Italia Superbike Team) and Alex Lowes (Castrol Honda), as well as his twin brother Sam (Parkalgar Honda) and young Czech Supersport talent Ondrej Jezek (SMS Racing Honda), together with circuit CEO Ivana Ulmanova and SBK Director Paolo Ciabatti, responded to questions from journalists in front of numerous passers-by and shoppers who had the chance to meet and greet the World Superbike stars.

The riders were then involved in a radio-controlled model car challenge set up in the centre, which turned into an elimination match with the general public.

Tomorrow morning the riders will put down their remote-control units and get down to the serious business of qualifying for Sunday's round at the Brno circuit.
