It has been a tough time on the injury front recently for the Parkalgar Honda Supersport World Championship pairing of Sam Lowes and Miguel Praia, with Lowes battling a collarbone injury from an Assen crash at the previous Monza round and his Portuguese team-mate Miguel picking up a shoulder fracture after suffering a crash at Monza. Of the two, Lowes should be in the best physical condition, but Misano will be the first chance Praia has had to ride his Honda since his crash at the classic venue of Monza.

For Lowes, who has been in Italy to continue his training programme recently, being fully fit to ride will be a relief after a pain-filled ride to fifth at Monza in May. "I am back to full fitness and cannot wait to get racing again, it seems a long time since Monza last month," said Sam. "I have learnt a lot in the first four races and want to use that to challenge for the win at Misano. The Parkalgar Honda is good enough and so am I, so it is full gas; I will be on it this weekend."

Miguel, who is currently 14th in the championship after two no scores have held back his progress, said of his chances this coming weekend, "My shoulder is sore but I will do my best this weekend at Misano. Before my crash at Monza I was riding well and a personal best finish may have been possible. I have confidence in my Parkalgar Honda and want to get strong results for the rest of the season, the top 10 in the Championship remains my goal."
